Bollywood's most famous villain Pran, who loved and feared in equal measure by moviegoers, will be honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Pran Krishan Sikand, 93, who popularly known to Bollywood movie lovers just by his first name, is the 2012 recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke award. Bollywood's 'bad man', fondly called by his fans and movie lovers Pran elevated the role of a villain in Bollywood to the status equal to that of the hero.His career spanned over 6 decades over 350 films. He also has been awarded Padma Bhushan by the Government of India, for his contribution to Indian cinema. In 2010, he was listed by CNN as one of the top 25 Asian actors of all time. Mr Pran is best known for his performances in bollywood films like Zanjeer, Half Ticket, Don and Upkar.
