International Affairs

  • Trade ministers from key WTO member countries, including India and Australia are scheduled to meet in Paris on Thursday to push Doha round of talks for reaching global trade deal.
  • Chinese troops intercepted an Indian Army patrol and prevented it from going to Line of Actual Control (LAC). China has built 5 km road crossing Line of Actual Control.
  • Several buses were set afire and crude bombs exploded as Bangladesh's main opposition BNP and its right-wing allies enforced a two-day nationwide strike from Monday for the release of their detained leaders and cadres.
